Corojo / Palm oil

Epo or Red Palm Oil is pressed from the fruit of the tropical palm tree native to Africa. Red palm oil is a dark red color when heated and is more on the orange side when in a solid state.

Epo Has been used for thousands of years for various reasons including medicinal and nutritional purposes. It is rich in antioxidants, vitamin A and vitamin E.

Red palm oil is a very healthy alternative to use for cooking because it contains no cholesterol. It is an essential ingredient to West African cuisine or any food.

Epo has a very significant place in the Yoruba Religion as well. It is used in Ifa and Santeria as an offering to the Orisa; it is a favorite food of choice for the Orisa.
